Aspiring to be the man my dog thinks I am.
my stuff.

about.
Engineer. Builder. Founder. Simplifier of Complexity.
I’m Ken—a systems engineer and entrepreneur who bridges deep tech with real-world business. My work blends sharp technical execution with purposeful design and human clarity.
From modular bed frames to borderless payments to cruelty-free beauty, I don’t just launch projects—I deliver verifiable, complete results that are designed to last.
⸻
What I Believe:
• Simplicity with power – I make complex things work simply and reliably.
• Ingenuity with integrity – I value original thinking grounded in ethics.
• Confidence, not arrogance – I speak clearly and act with calm authority.
• Research-backed everything – Every solution starts with evidence and ends with action.
⸻
What I'm Building:
• Framéze – A modular bed system that ships easily, assembles fast, and looks sharp.
• Cogoettá – A cruelty-free cosmetics brand born in Bogotá, inspired by real women.
• Smart Remittance Tools – Faster, safer, cheaper payments—especially for the underserved.
⸻
“Luck is preparation meeting opportunity. I just show up prepared.”

Let’s build something bold, useful, and enduring.
I believe that the future of technology lies in mobile/cloud computing, and my castAway™ case is the best expression of this belief. I also believe that dogma is dangerous in all aspects of life.
Twelve years ago, I got a dog named Paddy, a Wheaten Terrier, who changed my life in more ways than I can express. I aspire to be the person my dog thinks I am.

I was born and raised in Chicago, where I still live. I attended the University of Illinois from 1974 to 1978.
I built an app that automatically deletes spam from Gmail, moves it to trash, and deletes itself every five minutes. Sometimes, I take photos.

Finally, I would like to share a quote from my late mother, Ruth Mages:
"The wealthiest man is not the one who has the most, but rather the one who needs the least."
